My first try at applying colors to a sketch in Photoshop

Two years ago, I bought a Bamboo drawing tablet. But I never liked using a digital since I am used to look at my pen's extremity, on paper. So, before trying it, I set myself an objective; to color a sketch only using a mouse. The idea is to first get myself used to look at somewhere else than my pen's extremity, and see what result I can generate using this inapropriate tool. I chose to use one draw I did. So I scanned it and opened it in Photoshop.

Even if it is not yet finished, I am actually pretty proud of the result. Using cartoonish highlights and shadows, I created volume on 3D shapes like the spartan's muscles, and on the clothes.

I now feel ready to try my Bamboo tablet and see if I can do any better (and faster)!
